Nordfjordeid provides a quieter pause, with opportunities for lakeside walks and reflection, before arriving in Geiranger, home to one of Norway’s most iconic fjords, renowned for its soaring cliffs and cascading waterfalls. The journey concludes in Ålesund, where elegant Art Nouveau architecture, island viewpoints and coastal walks add cultural contrast to the surrounding natural beauty.

Austefjorden
Austefjorden feels like Norway at its most intimate - a narrow, winding fjord where mountains rise steeply from the water and waterfalls trace fine lines down dark rock faces. As you glide deeper into the fjord, the world seems to fall quiet, inviting you to step out on deck and simply take it in. There’s time to watch light shift across the cliffs, spot small farms clinging to the hillsides, and feel the scale of the landscape closing gently around you. This is a place best experienced slowly, where the journey itself becomes the highlight. Austefjorden offers a rare sense of stillness and immersion.
Flåm
Flåm is surrounded by some of Norway’s most dramatic fjord scenery, where steep mountains rise sharply from calm, dark water. From here, you could take the famous Flåm Railway, climbing through narrow valleys, waterfalls and high mountain farms on one of the world’s most scenic rail journeys. Others may prefer to explore on foot, following quiet paths along the fjord or simply soaking up the scale of the landscape from the village. However you choose to spend your time, Flåm invites awe without hurry.
Geiranger
Few places in Norway are as instantly recognisable as Geiranger. As your ship glides into the fjord, waterfalls spill down vertical cliffs - including the legendary Seven Sisters - while abandoned mountain farms cling impossibly to the rock. Step ashore to explore viewpoints high above the water, such as Flydalsjuvet or Dalsnibba, where the fjord unfurls beneath you in sweeping curves. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Geiranger is not just seen - it’s felt.
